EDDIE ABBEW STOPPED EATING VEGETABLES!

Dr. Anthony Chaffee speaks with Eddie, a fitness coach and advocate from Ghana and the UK, about oral allergy syndrome and how eliminating plants from the diet can resolve inflammatory conditions. Eddie shares his experience with severe allergic reactions to raw fruits and vegetables that disappeared when he removed plant foods entirely. The conversation explores how pesticides, GMOs, and natural plant toxins like oxalates create health problems, with unripe fruits containing up to four times higher toxin levels than ripe ones.

The discussion reveals how modern agriculture and global food distribution systems expose people to higher levels of plant toxins and chemicals compared to locally grown, seasonal produce. Both speakers emphasize how artificial sweeteners in protein supplements cause severe digestive issues, while a carnivore diet eliminates bloating, gas, and inflammation. They address the resistance from medical professionals who privately follow carnivore principles but cannot publicly recommend them due to institutional constraints.

Key Takeaways

  • Oral allergy syndrome and plant-based digestive issues often resolve completely when eliminating all plant foods from the diet, as the body stops reacting to natural plant toxins and pesticide residues
  • Unripe fruits contain up to four times higher levels of oxalates and other plant toxins compared to ripe fruits, but commercially shipped produce is picked unripe and retains these toxins even after artificial ripening
  • GMO crops are genetically modified to produce higher levels of natural pesticides, making them more toxic than traditional varieties while reducing the need for external pesticide application
  • Artificial sweeteners like xylitol and sorbitol in protein supplements cause severe bloating and gas by disrupting gut bacteria, while meat protein absorbs at 98% efficiency without digestive distress
  • Elevated blood sugar from all carbohydrates creates advanced glycation end products (AGEs) that physically damage joints, explaining why arthritis and joint pain improve dramatically on ketogenic and carnivore diets
  • Fructose metabolizes through the same biochemical pathways as alcohol and has a glycation effect four to five times higher than glucose, directly contributing to fatty liver disease
  • Oral Allergy Syndrome and Pesticide Reactions
  • Plant Defense Chemicals and Fruit Toxins
  • GMO Foods and Modern Agricultural Toxins
  • Medical Malpractice and Doctor Compliance Issues
  • Carnivore Diet Success in Medical Community
  • Arthritis and Joint Pain from Carbohydrates
  • Fruit Consumption and Fatty Liver Disease

[Music] one thing I always had I've always had this thing called oral allergy syndrome I had it for years okay so I couldn't eat I I cannot like I loved avocados but I couldn't eat them raw I had to cook them because every time I I got an itchy lips itchy mouth and sometimes i' would throw up sometimes I'd get like literally I feel my my liist depending on in fact when I when I used to come to the states like I used come there at least once or twice a month every time I ate fruit or vegetables in the states it actually was the worst it wasn't as bad of year and then I went back to Ghana in 1999 and I had an avocado and there was nothing wrong with my lips I'm like I used to eat this avocado it's the same kind of trees when I was a child I was okay and I realized that it was something to do with a pesticide so from then from about 1991 everything that I ate I had to cook every all my vegetables had to be cooked whereas if meat when I ate meat that wasn't um um overcooked what was was a bit raw I was fine so I knew that I had an allergy I was told it's called Oro allergy syndrome and I just take all this antihistamine and all that nonsense but I realized that if I took the plants out of my diet I was fine so I took the plants out so what what is it what what what do you think causes this oral allergy syndrome and why has it become a thing is it is it the pesticides the what is it because I didn't have the um sorry what I'm trying to say it was not it's not what why didn't I have it when I had I had the plant back home in Ghana and why did they become a thing in the UK yeah so I I that's that's really interesting and and it makes sense to me I think I think a big part of it we have these agrochemical sort of things that we we put out there and they're toxic they're supposed to be toxic they're designed to kill insects and other it's like what the hell is it doing to us you know I mean these things are designed to be toxic so of course they're going to be toxic what's interesting is is like the avocado because you know you're eating the inside of the avocado you're not sort of eating the outside but so there could be things um uh you know the pesticides s soaking in we shouldn't be as naive to think that it's only going to stay on the surface and then and that's the only yeah yeah definitely come in but the other interesting thing um that that um people aren't aware of is that fruit also have defense chemicals and toxins they oh but the plant wants you to eat the fruit no it wants something to eat the fruit it doesn't necessarily want every single animal on Earth to eat the fruit yeah a lot of a lot of the fruits and berries actually coevolved with different animals specifically and they're toxic to anything else you know like a Cleary Bird eats 150 different kinds of fruit and berries every single one of those will kill you and kill anything except the catary bird because those seeds only germinate inside the gut of a catary bird right so there are toxins um grapes and avocados will kill cats and dogs because they're so toxic to cats and dogs so there are toxins in there um and the really interesting thing is is that obviously when the seed is not ready when it's not ripe it doesn't want anything eating that that's why it's rock hard it doesn't taste very good it wants to live yeah exactly so it wants to get that seed ripe and ready to go and then eaten and taken by something else so when it's unripe they are far more toxic like so um avocados in particular they they have oxalates and something that people this is a plant tox the oxalate level has been measured to be four times higher when they're unripe right when was the last they so bitter as well don't they tastes very bit when get unrip they yeah and then you have to let them ripen in the box and things like that when was the last time you saw a ripe avocado at the at the grocery store at a at a Tesco or something like it's not gonna happen right they Pi they pick them so that they can last and they can they can transport them from you know from you know Ecuador or wherever and um and so that they last right right and so they pick them all green they're hard as a rock and then you let them ripen in a box for two or three weeks but Studies have actually shown that that the toxins don't go away they don't go away just because they're ripened they go away because the plant then takes them out if if you have a picked fruit it's a closed system there's nowhere for that poison to go it doesn't just break down into H La Land you know there toxins are still in there and so um when you're in the west when you're in you know the US and elsewhere you're going to find that you have have a a lot more pesticides now we have GMOs GMOs they people are trying people just make things up crazy that's crazy yeah yeah people make things up they because they want things to be true to defend their ideology so they say that no no actually we're yes they toxins in Plants first of all they denied their toxins in Plants previously now they're saying yes they're toxins in Plants but we're breeding them to be less and less toxic No in fact we're going the other way we're bringing more toxic because then you use less pesticides the more the less toxic they are mean they they can't defend themselves so now you have GMOs that are genetically altered to be resistant against pests what is that resistance mean that means they more toxic natural use less pesticides so that means they're naturally making pesticides and so you have more of these GMOs in America and and those sorts of countries using more pesticides and they're all going to be picked green because you have to be shipping these all around the world you're not buying fresh and local and seasonally like you would in Ghana and that's a avocado a season I I my sister now she's Carnival now she's lives in Ghana it's amazing do you know what she's nearly 60 and she can skip she can Sprint now which couldn't do that before you know and she she's been on the Carnival diet for nearly two years and um she said to me in the Pastor said to her can you get some avocad talk they're not in season and they're not going to be in season until December and and for about a few months then she can't get them anymore but unfortunately we just import everything from everywhere else we don't even know what kind of so they're grown in we don't know what conditions they they Shi over and we just eat them I don't understand yeah yeah and and they're all unripe they're all just rock hard and uh and you know then shift around so they're gonna they're going to be much worse off for you absolutely so I think that's that's that uh you know would definitely explain that you know I mean because it's it's something's going on right there's something different between those and those are two glaring ones but but I I now so I like I said I took the plants out and I feel amazing every so often I make a dish just showing people this and that because my my community there are so many people who still doing their keto diet it works for them I mean they cook the vegetables it's okay but I I can't I've got to cook the [ __ ] out of vegetables to be able to eat it avocado I used to cook it heat up I had to to I had to cook it like I've been doing it for years and then eventually I hang on stop what's the point your body is telling you not to eat it so I took it out of my D and I felt amazing you know so so I'm not I I um I'm not going to stop what I do and I'm going to like literally just keep on anybody who will listen just like you're doing but I use a different voice I'm I'm I'm you know I'm I'm swearing and I can I think I can relate more to the average person who thinks I'm crazy and eventually they find it entertaining and hang on why is he saying that slowly that's what happens eventually they start up by thinking oh my God look at this old man screaming and you know swearing and stuff and eventually like okay what is he talking about then slowly that's we get that all the time now I got girls these girls answer my messages like Eddie I just thought you were crazy but then I tried it I feel amazing I've lost um you know 50 pounds kilos I've lost it I've done that I feel amazing got my parents and my families on it and it that makes me that's what gives me keeps me going not the money it's the it's the feedback I get from people yeah AB absolutely and I mean it you know it does just work and like like I was saying earlier you know as like a clinician you know how do you suggest something that that um you know isn't as good as just changing somebody's diet up you know it's like well you know this these are the guidelines so you just take your insulin take your your metform in take your this that and the other just you know slowly go and what's it you know and all that yeah it's just it's just um you know it's just cya medicine you know you just you're just staying safe and because it's it's people that that I you know just aren't really holding up their their oath as a as a as a doctor and a clinician because you're there to supposed to do the right thing for your patient not the right thing for your yourself you know it might be that you you make more money doing something else or you have a less chance of getting [ __ ] from your peers or you know uh protect your own sort of practice by by just going with st status quo but you have a duty to the patient and if you are doing something that you know is not the best thing for it's not best yeah why would you do it yeah if you really care about your patient and I I how how good to applaud you for coming out and standing because you you know I know that you get a lot of you know a lot of other doctors oh he's a quack and I'm like yeah I know I like quacks I hear that all the time you qu you're listening to these quacks I'm like you're friends with all these quacks I get it all the time yeah because and I feel [ __ ] amazing I may be listening to him but look at you you're on you're you're younger than me you're on um six different medications and you can't even walk up the stairs without healing over and you know I'm listening to let me listen to my quack because I feel good yeah maybe you should listen to a quack too he might help you out maybe yeah but that's why the word is now isn't it well but that's the thing you know if if if this works you know it doesn't matter what's in a book or in a in a in whatever what matters is work what works in the real world you can get a study that says anything that's not hard to do you just but what happens in the real world so you can get a study that says anything you have you know 30 studies that say that I'm right 30 studies that say that I'm wrong but then what is what what Chang yeah what if you have 500 studies that say I'm wrong but then you do it and it works yeah don't matter right so what matters is what you do with what what happens to you when you do it and so the a study is just a guide It's just to give you some information to help guide your decision and then you have to make a decision and then you have to live with that that decision and so you know when I make this decision for myself and for my patient I'm I'm living with it and they're they're getting massive results I'm getting better results than any of my my colleagues unless except the ones that do this as well and and we talk about it's like we're seeing like you know heart failure patients you know improve their ejection fraction we're seeing autoimmunity go away we're seeing blood pressures come down diabetes just disappears and so you know if you if you just know that and you see that and say hey look this is something that can help you but I'm not going to tell you I'm not all it's malpractice you're you're doing something wrong you're withholding something that you know will work better just to cover your I think that's that's talk about that's what is it cover the thing is I was um you know I I don't want to say that my community in my community there's so many people were saying to me Eddie this is so simple this is so simple you know I reverse this I reverse that but we we I we get messages a man who sent a message says Eddie I've just come from a coloro w in in London and the consultant who the you know the guy he says all of us as soon after surgery to follow you because you on something they says all the doctors I no we got the message all the doctors there follow you and all them are on the Carnival D about eight doctors all them on the Carnival died that blew my mind this then and he he sent a message and I called him I had to chat with him he goes he said he just told us is because but he can't say that mainstream he cannot bring that out and tell everyone about it because he'll get into trouble because the Playbook doesn't tell him to you know that's not what he's learned and it's a shame that the medical profession is of treat um you know it's all um sort of medicine based and it's all about medication rather than if you go to the doctor doctor should ask you look what do you eat you know but but they'll tell you don't eat red meat don't eat eggs but it's okay to eat the cereal so get up get up in the morning and put the a bowl of porridge and put Splender on it because it's not sugar even though it's 99% mot de you know stuff like that it's crazy and I think that's what I realized that you know our medic professionals are not really going to help us I was a nurse know in the water but I was a senior nurse I see the junior doctors coming and I'm like dude you don't know your ass from your elbow but you're you're prescribing this medication very it was very sad and um I I I I'm glad that I'm in a position and you're with the help of people like you listening to you and then helping people for real people feel better do you know what I mean hey everyone really happy to announce a new sponsor for the show and for everybody down in Australia Stockman Stak who are delivering highquality grass-fed and finished pasture raised beef and other meats flash frozen and vacuum sealed to your Ador something that I've been enjoying a lot of myself recently as well they also have a great range of specialty items such order at Stockman steaks.com and I'll see you over there thanks guys but it it is it's amazing and and I think most people that get into medicine want that you know they they want to actually do good people I think that's why there's such a high burnout rate in the medical professions because we're not seeing people get better we're seeing people get worse and we're doing everything we can and spending so much time frustrating isn't it yeah yeah and and you seen people slowly get worse you're like wow I'm not doing anything and then and then you know doctors start getting older and then they and they start getting the diseases that they're treating they're like [ __ ] I know where this goes this doesn't work well yeah yeah yeah just it just gets it really uh really down you know disheartening you know they get really down and now people are finding this just these simple interventions it's actually helping people it's helping themselves I've seen so many doctors Revitalize their love of medicine because they're like actually works again like this is this is amazing and it's really good to see that that more doctors are saying like listen to Eddie because you the don't eat meat nonsense that's how that started it was a guy named Dr prti um who wrote wrote a book about this about you know the heart you know the heart heart disease Di and things like that and it was like yeah basically no he was sort of called like the father of the plant-based diet because but you had to like boil living hell out of really lean ground beef press it boil it again press it again all that sort of nonsense or there's like there just it's just cardboard at the end of that right K everything in it yeah it yeah and so um and so you a lot of people just didn't eat it but he also got rid of sugar sugar and processed foods and all that sort of stuff and so he made a really big hit um I think back in the 70s or so um but anyway in that era 70s 80s but you know my dad know I pricin was a household name in in my house like I knew who Dr pryin was since I was a kid and so that we had Cheerios and shredded wheat in the house like that was it there was like skim milk and um and you Mil sugar water I call it yeah and so you know it was that was why though it was a well pin says blah blah blah blah blah and my dad said you he had a friend of his that had like a quadruple bypass surgery all his heart disease and his um cardiac you know cardi thoracic surgeon came in while he was um uh recovering and took Dr pin's book book and slapped it on his his little de bedside table and said read it do it and just walked out right so that that that ground swell just people like yourself just making an impact saying observing something saying hey this works better you know that will that will change the status quo unfortunately you know for us pritkin got it very wrong because you say was prudent prudent di it prudent is it called what they call it prudent diet no prudent di I remember that yeah I don't was that pryin I'm not sure but you know those sorts of things you know but they but they have they have someone who is an advocate of it and makes enough of of a good enough case that you know maybe going away from you know the the sort of standard sort of diet you make enough of an improvement that people say okay well that that makes sense it did get rid of sugar did get rid of processed carbs and [ __ ] full Foods it was just don't eat fat and so we just ate very lean meat yeah there yeah what's that sorry my wife was the same she just ate she knew that she didn't want to eat carbs all this uto process like she so no cereal but she ate mainly protein and lots of vegetables and no fat that's actually is the leanest protein and then now she does the opposite she like card high fat but it's it's taking a long time to actually realize that because she was more on top of this than I was constantly researching and so her diet was constantly like high protein but vegetables their plate was just full of vegetables all of them raw all the time you know we we still still tease her she we get her you know a small amount of protein no fat everything was lean it had to be you know she blot out all the meat fat from the you know cut every bit of fat off because that's what we thought was was We were supposed to do you know but trying to tell people that it's actually the opposite it's hard but slowly it's working I think we right now we've got you know social media it's powerful and I think that's what it's working I think that with me I realized that we we I couldn't I mean you can't change what how the doctors think so it was about educating people from the Grassroots because if you feel good you're going to say hang on hang on my doctor says I should eat this but I'm eating this and I feel good so what am I going to change and that's why I think educating the the masses that's how I that's how I want to attack it you know and you know and I think that people you know want this this information I mean you know pran was able to to change the game you know because was what he did at least improved upon yeah what else was going on and so you know people say okay well look we we need something that work for people we need something that helps people because there there are a lot of people who actually do care about their fellow man there are a lot that know like in the process food companies the tobacco companies oh they just want to make money don't they make money and I I truly think that it's evil because you know they they're doing things that they know harm people and they're keeping people away just so they can get more money harming people you know I mean these are drug cartels these are absolute criminals these are crimes against humanity and I think that they should be prosecuted criminally because they are knowingly hared ing people you I agree I agree 100% with you but how do you go about that because the average person thinks we're extreme and we are come on you got to live a little I always say live a little what is it living you mean eating sugar I got to eat sugar and I got to um try food that I you know eat sweet that it's got chemicals in it that's not how I want to live no that's it yeah well I I I throw right back at them why don't you live a little and actually you know get outside and do something instead of if m entertainment source of of pleasure is just eating junk food like your life sucks you evaluate your life that's true you need to get a life you need to get outside and do something you know and meet some people you know you know you know get outside and talk to the ladies like this is not you know that's that's not entertainment food is not entertainment food is nutrition and you know yes you can make it a social experience by you know sharing your meals with people but like that should not be your the entirety of your social experience you know I I so that I can have energy and then I go and do things I go out and I hike I you know I get out on the water you know I'm I'm doing things with people having social interactions I'm being physical and active I'm enjoying my life can you talk to Lauren for a minute for one second back in a second yeah Lauren yeah hey sorry we're in a very cold office [Laughter] he just had to quickly run to get something yeah that's okay yeah yeah carry on yeah um what was I say um I mean Ed he's getting so much um feedback on the community he's saying about someone with a Ms he had somebody today that messaged saying that um somebody with arthritis as well was another one that we've had people that have had arthritis and changed their diet um so it's would you would you say keto could help cure that or do you think it has to be the lion diet for something like arthritis well I mean ketogenic diets have been shown to to make massive improvements in these sorts of things I mean first of all you're just cutting out you're already cutting out a lot of things that are that are negative for your health getting into that that ketogenic State nutritional ketosis is is so beneficial physiology and biology your insulin coming I mean I know the bodybuilders like you know back in the day inject a bunch of insulin but my goodness does that do a number on your body because it doesn't just drive energy into cells it it um affects hundreds of different processes and mechanisms in your body and so you know when your insulin gets elevated because you're driving you want for the you know carbs and protein everything like that to shove into your cells it's also now massively elevated for all of these other sorts of things and it's way out of balance and it causes a lot of um destruction and metabolic distress um carbohydrates themselves be very pro-inflammatory just burning carbs in your mitochondria is very oxidative sends off free radicals and damage um so it's pro-inflammatory um you know where you getting the carbs from you're typically getting a lot of them from grains grains are SE is a plant's baby so there a lot of these pro-inflammatory factors in there and then just having higher ketones ketones directly suppress inflammation and so something called the nlrp3 inflammosome so inflammation actually comes down and yeah you can actually feel a lot better it's not going to regrow your cartilage that we know of but it can definitely lower the inflammation so that feel as much pain you don't have that expression of pain and it can definitely slow down the onset or progression of arthritis as well because you know we found this is this goes back ties back into the athlete side of things all the advantages of of doing this as an athlete because you know what are we doing as our athletes our joints are are everything to us you know we destroy our joints that it for our career and um and uh we're we're seeing like you know when we you get elevated blood sugar levels they physically fused to other molecules called glycation so you get these Advanced glycation and products glucose glycation from yeah gluc exactly so it it's just this sugar damage you're just sticking sugar and damaging things and this is what kills diabetics is that glycation destroys the body destroys the organs and you know you get your toes rotting and falling off get amputations your kidneys fa you go blind you get heart disease get Alzheimer that all comes from elevated blood sugar and the damage from elevated blood sugar and we see this in joints as well so you know they' have you know scoping out knees and scraping off all this fluffy you know nasty stuff out of out of degenerative knees and shoulders and degenerative dis in the spine they found they're just full of these ages these Advan glycation and products and so it's that that L you know that blood sugar going up that's actually damaging and destroying your joints and so you you don't want to get arthritis in the first place don't eat sugar and you know don't have any any direct injuries I mean I I kick since I was you know a kid since I was like 14 and you're just doing knee strikes against things all the time no one told me at the time for your knees and I and I sort of damage the cartilage under my kneecaps everything else is pristine and that that's um you know because I I have never really been a big Carby sort of person but you have a long a a longer shelf life as an ath if you protect your joints yeah yeah s you're talking about um sugar but I'm talking about carbohydrates in general as well because I think that sorry I think that a lot of people um I say to Myan community that all carbohydrates are glucose molecules yeah yeah and I think it's important that they realize that so when when I know when you talk about carbohydrates somebody starts saying oh what about complex carbs when Simple cars what about all this what about polysaccharides and the DI Sac stop just they're all carbohydrates and I think we don't understanding I wasn't eating sugar but I was eating lots of porridge I was eating lots of um you know um bread sometimes when I was EA rice lots of rice and my joints were crazy I can run I could not even walk up the stairs properly now I'm doing um leg qu quad movements that I couldn't do before about 5 years ago and it's amazing and I'm in my 60s and I can do them I couldn't do them when I was in my 50s and it's crazy and you said to them it's to do with um you know um you know what you're eating it's to do with you know inflammation and nobody wants to hear it you know yeah yeah well I mean yeah so that's the thing these things cause inflammation they cause damage in the bodybuilding industry I'm trying to say in the bodybuilding the bodybuilders because they they all of them walk around the wrist I have wrist RS knee RS wrist wrist WS elbow support and knee wraps to train yeah and even though I was big I was struggling yeah you look at like Ronnie Coleman he's been you know really struggling he's had a lot of surgeries and things like that and had had a lot of joint issues you know and that um that that unfortunately is sort of the the you know the Battle Scars of you know this profession but yeah you're right you know all all carbohydrates they're all sugars you look you take organic chemistry you know carbohydrates are sugars that that's actually they are the synonymous right yeah so and they'll all break down it doesn't matter the complex disaccharide polysaccharide I know I know comes down to you know the the base sugars you know the individual monosaccharides and so and then and eventually they they will turn into glucose as well and they'll elevate your your blood sugar so you raise your blood sugar has a lower glycemic index meaning it doesn't shoot it up as quickly but that's because it's converted into glucose in your liver it's converted into glucose and fat actually and that's how you get you can get fatty liver because you get a fatty droplet when you convert fructose because fructose is actually super gly that it's really really bad I know no one wants to hear that though no flu is also sugar yeah oh yeah it's it's probably one of the worst ones as well and your body does really tries hard to keep this stuff out of your system and it so it converts it but it eventually does turn into glucose but it it does it has a higher glycation effect than gluc much higher four five times higher and um and diabetics seem to actually convert up to 30% of their blood sugar glucose into frose right so can have a lot of damage on their body and their liver when whenever I post something about fruit every so often I do it just to annoy people just look at it it's so much hate that comes up and I think I find it funny you know because I I I know for a fact that there's one of my daughter's friends us week she she's um she's Muslim never drunk any alcohol in her life but she had fatty liver disease and white didn't find out that she's getting up in the morning and having a smooth fruit smoothie with like six pieces of fruit I'm like where in the world would you get six pieces of when eat the bloody banana eat the apple whatever but six pieces of fruit and then she had fatty liver disease then re change your diet and then she she um she revers the fatty liver disase and said we don't eat fruit anymore oh yeah but but fruit supposed to be good for you no it's not fruit supposed to be seasonal you're importing it from everywhere else you're eating like eight different types of fruit every single day oh because I love fruit I'm like okay you keep your fatty liver disease and eat your fruit or um get rid of it and so now she stop eating fruit it feels amazing you know hey guys just want to take a second to thank our sponsor at carnivore bar I don't promote many products because honestly all you need to be healthy is to just eat meat for those times that you're out hiking road tripping or stuck at work and you want nutritious snack that is just meat fat and salt if you want it the carnivore bar is a great option so I like this product not because it's just pure meat but also because I want the carnivore Market to thrive as well and the more we support meat only products the more meat only products that will be available in the mainstream so if this sounds like something you'd like to get behind check it out using my discount code Anthony to get 10% off which also applies to subscriptions giving you 25% off total all right thanks guys yeah well that's the thing you know I mean how how do we how do we make manufacture fatty liver disease and geese to make th gr which literally means fatty liver right do we give them a bunch of meat and alcohol no you you give them grains you force speed grains and that gives them liver and um people don't realize that they think oh if you eat fat you're going to get fatty liver fat is the one macronutrient that does not go through the liver to be digested it goes directly into lymphatics into your C into your systemic circulation is the only thing that doesn't affect your liver it says oh it's just too hard on your liver all that fat wrong I know I know the only thing that doesn't doesn't uh damage your liver it's the carbohydrates that go in there it's the sugar that goes in the fructose is metabolized in the same way as alcohol that's been shown by the biochemistry Department UC San Francisco and published in 2009 and uh Professor Robert lustig has has written multiple books about I've heard he's I I listened to him for for months I remember that I went the rabit rabit that's it yeah yeah so you know so he's great so he's published dozens of peer-reviewed articles on you know that all the biochemistry is out it's all published and um and it brutos gets broken down to the same Pathways as alcohol ethanol yeah I mentioned it I mentioned it I mentioned it recently I got got so much I mean I got so much back I love you know I love the when you get to your 60s I've been around too long I don't really a [ __ ] what anybody thinks I believe that what I'm doing I'm doing the right thing I believe I'm doing the right thing I believe I learned something that I want to share with the world and I think that and I think what give me the courage to keep going is when I realize that God I'm not the only one you know when when I I I saw your your content you talk about um veget I'm like amazing this guy is like saying what I've been saying to everybody for a long time I was a bodybuilding coach people come to me like give that the what they supposed to what about V don't worry about it like what all of them theyve been for years don't worry remember don't worry about it what you mean what about V if you want to have it but it's not important we want the cars you want protein and everybody was surprised now it's become it's it turns out I was right and I don't really care I think I I think that had more problems with fruit than anything else I eat fruit and I get bloated and I think oh maybe I'm just full and you get used to that feeling now I don't remember that having that bloated feeling again it's all gone now because when I eat meat I eat eggs people say oh you f m f a lot actually don't F much at all it's the opposite yeah well it's like the we we uh we blame protein for all those like bodybuilding farts and things like yeah the bloody sucrose in there and suc sorry sucrose that was it the the oh artificial sweet oh my God those are terrible so I I um going back to Ronnie Coleman he I remember seeing him on an interview saying that he never ate vegetables he hated vegetables he thought they were disgusting like wait what really you never eat vegetabl absolutely not so yeah we never B with it we never both with it no but I I got a pre-workout drink um it was and it was Ronnie Coleman Brown that was the one that was available how long ago was that it was back in 2012 2013 was when I was like my last year or two in medical school so yeah so 2012 and um and uh and so I had this Stu as a pre-workout and um and you know and it you know was fine but the it actually gave me the most insane like bloating in gas I've ever imag it was like it was the artificial sweeteners in there just havoc on my God I had to stop taking it because it was just like it was like you you'd kill people like it was is like dangerous to be right this is so bad it's a protein bar but when I when I like I own the gym now I stop selling all supplements and it's and it's unheard of I mean it's unheard of because it's taking a long time manag like come on we go to make money I'm like well I I don't I can't tell something that I don't believe in I've never believed in it I mean back in the day when I was doing really well as a body in the UK oh you got to start your own supplement company I don't I don't believe why should I I mean it's about making money put my name on it but then I didn't want to do it protein bar was like um pre-workout to to you to me your pre-workout if I eat a protein bar my belly would just come out here like this I've got no idea what's in it's the worst thing for me to eat you know and in the past when I was really hungry I got to get something to n have a protein back and really you go watch time you get blo start farting and then before you go you get home and I felt ill I just like that's why I never touched them I just thought they were disgusting what's in them to cause that it's artificial sweeteners it's the it's the AL so like OS xylol those sorts of things th those are absolutely horrendous and so you know they'll go in they get into your your your microbiome and your gut starts eating this it starts making this horrendous gas and um and it's got to come out it's not from the protein you you digest and absorb that protein you know especially when you're eating meat I mean you know you you know yourself you you you're going to you're defecating much less often when you're just you're absorbing like 98% of this stuff so it doesn't need to come out it doesn't even get to your call on to get get worked on by the bacteria in the first place so it's um yeah it's it's the the sugar alcohols they are the really the worst for that they they really mess up your gut Anthony I can sit you and talk to you all day but we have to um yeah we have to wrap it up um and hopefully we can get a chance to do this again because I you know I like learning from you and I think that I want the world to hear about you I want my survival advantage uh due to parasites you know you're going to kill the parasites you're not going to have much of a problem with parasite and some people say well you can't be a cornivore if you cook meat like for about 1.6 million years so that's okay but but chemically can eat raw meat can do that there's
